The telco company idea is giving a total of 30GB free data to its subscribers who upgrade to Idea VoLTE Service.

The latest data offer appears to be more beneficent for subscribers. Subscribers in the VoLTE Service supported circles will be automatically upgraded to Idea VoLTE service.

Idea VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is an advanced service through which customers can experience HD quality crystal clear voice with faster call setup time and reduced background noise. While using VoLTE services, users can continue to have un-interrupted high-speed 4G internet experience.

How to Get Idea VoLTE 30 GB Free Data

You won’t get the 30 GB free data at a time.

  • The first installment of 10GB will be allotted to the user on making the first VoLTE-enabled call.
  • The second installment will be issued on giving feedback on the service after using it for four weeks
  • And the final 10GB will be given in return for feedback after 8 weeks of use.

How to Identify Idea VoLTE Service

Android users can see HD/VoLTE icon on the top bar of the screen, which indicates that their phone is ready for VoLTE calls.

Android: Settings -> SIM Cards & Mobile Network -> Turn on VoLTE

There are no visual representation iOS users but they can verify VoLTE service through the settings under mobile data.

iOS: Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Enable 4G -> Turn on Voice & Data

To experience Idea VoLTE services, Please follow these steps:

  • Insert Idea 4G SIM in Slot 1
  • Update the Handset Software
  • Go to Settings -> SIM Cards and Mobile Networks
  • Switch on the VoLTE Button
  • Make the First VoLTE Call.

Users who are having Dual SIM smartphones, Idea SIM should be inserted in the SIM slot with data capability and network mode as “4G” or “LTE”.

Idea VoLTE calls will be charged as per the customer’s existing voice plan/pack and would not consume any data. Even after data pack is over, VoLTE calls will continue as usual. “With the completion of last phase of VoLTE roll out, Idea is now the only operator to offer pan India integrated 2G, 3G, 4G and VoLTE services. Through our collaboration with 10 leading device brands, which cover 75% of the smartphone market, we will cater to our growing base of VoLTE users across the country,” said Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular.

The company revealed that Idea VoLTE service has been launched in Maharashtra ( Including Mumbai), Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & North Eastern States.

Idea VoLTE 30GB Free Data

Reliance Jio is the first telecom company which launched with pan-India 4G VoLTE coverage. Previously Airtel had rolled out its VoLTE beta programme and offers 30GB Free Data benefits to subscribers. However, the first 10GB will be credited as soon as the user enables the VoLTE switch in the smartphone’s Settings menu.

Earlier Vodafone expanded its VoLTE coverage. Unlike Airtel and Idea, Vodafone is not offering any free data benefits to its 4G users looking to upgrade VoLTE service.
